Your renovation,on the record
Post your renovation job for contractors to price, or join when your contractor invites you. It’s free for homeowners. Here’s what that means.
What you do
Post a job request for contractors to price, or accept an invitation from your contractor. Review the quotes you receive and accept the one you choose.
Verify your identity (a one-off check).
Fund each milestone by bank transfer or PayID when it’s due.
Review the evidence your contractor uploads, then approve the milestone to release payment.
What Renosafe does
- Keeps a dated record of your quote, approvals, evidence, variations and payments for seven years.
- Passes your approval to our payments provider, which holds the funds and makes the payment.
- Records any dispute and its outcome.
What Renosafe doesn’t do
- Hold your money.
- Approve payments on your behalf.
- Inspect or certify building work.
- Decide disputes or give legal, building or financial advice.
Before you start
Check your contractor’s licence or registration with your state regulator (links on our Resources page).
Read your building contract. Renosafe records the payment steps, but your contract with your builder sets your rights.
Your state may set rules on deposits, progress payments and home warranty insurance. See the Resources page.
Fees
Homeowners pay no Renosafe fees.
Your bank may charge its usual fees for transfers.
